Large on-demand libraries can be hard to browse on a TV remote. These techniques make finding a specific movie much faster.
Search tips that work
- Search for one distinctive word from the title instead of the full name.
- Leave out articles and punctuation: search "godfather", not "The Godfather: Part II".
- Try the original title for foreign-language films.
- If the app supports it, search inside the Movies section rather than globally, so live channels don't crowd the results.
Use categories and sorting
Providers group movies into categories, for example by genre, language, quality (4K) or recently added. Many apps let you sort a category by name, year or date added. Sorting by date added is the quickest way to see what's new.
Save titles for later
Mark films as favourites or add them to a watchlist so they appear on the app's home screen. Most apps also keep a Continue watching row for films you've started.
Refresh the library
Apps cache the movie list. If you expect a title that isn't showing, use the app's refresh or reload option (often in Settings > Playlist or by long-pressing the playlist), then search again.
Still missing?
If a title isn't in the library, send a request with the title, release year and preferred language. We review every request and reply, but availability depends on rights, so we can't guarantee a title will be added.
